About The Position

Maple Heights Retirement Community is looking for a Housekeeper in Allen Park, MI. The housekeeper is an essential member of the team. The responsibilities are washing laundry, and cleaning residents’ rooms. We are looking for staff to enhance the lives of our residents by being a positive part of their environment. This will be accomplished by completing your tasks in a cheerful, timely manner and by communicating with others to attain goals. Experience working in a memory care unit is recommended. Part-time, 20 hours per week

Requirements

Able to pass a criminal background check
High school diploma or GED
Must be 18 years old
Reliable transportation
The capacity to work as a team
Able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
A positive attitude and the ability to arrive on time for every shift

Nice To Haves

Residential cleaning experience preferred
Experience working in a memory care unit is recommended

Responsibilities

Primary duty will be washing laundery
Cleaning resident’s apartments: mopping, dusting, vacuuming and cleaning bathrooms
Work consistently and cooperatively with residents, coworkers and family members
Be mindful to keep all chemicals out of the residents’ areas
Be economical with supplies and equipment
Treat all residents with dignity and respect
Protect residents from accidents and injuries
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or executive director
