About The Position

Job Summary: The Housekeeper has the responsibility of maintaining the clean and sanitary conditions of the building. Duties/Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Cleaning Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, floors. Dusting furniture and fixtures. Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, including tables, counters, railings, doorknobs. Emptying and sanitizing trash containers. Cleaning glass doors, mirrors, windows. Cleaning and restocking restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors. Cleaning resident rooms, including changing linens as scheduled. Cleaning and disinfecting of tub rooms. Responsible for laundering process. Maintaining a Clean and Organized Environment Ensuring all areas are clean and free of clutter. Organizing and restocking cleaning supplies. Following established cleaning schedules and procedures. Safety and Hygiene Adhering to infection control protocols and using appropriate cleaning products. Identifying and reporting any safety hazards or maintenance issues. Ensuring a safe and hygienic envoronment of r residents. Communicates with the Supervisor concerning the supplies needed and any problems with the equipment. Flexible Schedule Completes all required documentation by end of shift. Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor. Assist and participate in emergency evacuation. Physical Requirements: Physical Demands: Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily product nature. A. Stand/Walk required between 33% to 66% of time on wet/slippery floors. B. Use of hands to finger, handle and feel required over 66% of time. C. Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl required between 33% to 66% of time. D. Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. E. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items. F. Exposed to cleaning chemical between 33% to 66% of time worked. Minimum Educational and General Qualifications: High School Degree/GED Basic Cleaning Skills Teamwork Punctuality and Reliability Knowledge of Infection Control Practices
