Summary Creates and maintains a welcoming environment for all clients, staff, and visitors by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, clinical areas, nursing units, offices, waiting areas, lounges, restrooms, and corridors.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Housekeeping experience preferred
Current CPR, AED and First Aid, preferred
Able to work independently with normal supervision
Ability to problem solve by gathering and analyzing information
Ability to handle a crisis or risk situation and react appropriately

Responsibilities

Clean and replace linens in client bedrooms following discharge according to prescribed timeframes.
Keep bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries and other supplies
Empty trash receptacles and disposes of waste in proper receptacles
Completes work assignments in a timely manner using checklists to communicate completeness.
Uses the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
Observes safety precautions
Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, Standard Precautions, and isolation precautions.
Maintains high quality standards when performing work duties
Other duties as assigned.
