About The Position

This position is for a Housekeeper at Westgate Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort, a full-service resort overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The role involves cleaning rooms and inspecting halls in commercial establishments such as Hotels, Timeshares, and restaurants. Housekeepers are expected to consistently meet quality and timeliness standards, achieve a productivity of 12 credits per day, and maintain a unit inspection score of 80% or above. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree GED.
  • Must consistently meet quality and timeliness standards in the cleaning of all assigned rooms.
  • Must achieve a productivity of 12 credits per day.
  • Consistently maintain unit inspection score of 80% or above as dictated by established by the resort.
  • Must embody core values of integrity, passion, and a strong work ethic.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Follow instructions without close supervision.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Required to pass a background screen.
  • Required to pass a drug test.
  • Prove eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently meet quality and timeliness standards in the cleaning of all assigned rooms.
  • Achieve a productivity of 12 credits per day.
  • Strip units and remove all trash.
  • Clean units including but not limited to bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, closets, decks.
  • Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes in bathrooms.
  • Strip and make beds, change bed linens, which may require lifting of all soiled linen in bedrooms.
  • Report damaged, dirty or stained carpets, drapes, furniture and linens.
  • Consistently maintain unit inspection score of 80% or above as dictated by established by the resort.
  • Ensure proper use of all equipment and supplies following established procedures.
  • Immediately report Lost & Found items following established procedures.
  • Work in a team environment and assist with other duties as necessary.
  • Ensure all inventory is in each unit.
  • Replenish houseware supplies as needed.
  • Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
  • Clean entire unit inside and outside.
  • Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays.
  • Assist in the training of fellow employees as it pertains to their area.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
