As a Housekeeper, you'll provide a reassuring presence while cleaning patient rooms throughout our hospital. Full Time Role - 40 Hours a Week Must be availabel to work: 3:00PM to 11:30PM and 11:30PM to 7:00AM Rotating Holidays and Weekends Involves Lots of Walking Requires Direct Patient Interaction Overview Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is a designated critical access hospital committed to providing quality health care service to residents in Crawford, Franklin and Washington counties. The hospital has enhanced and expanded the health care services available to the greater Sullivan community with its state-of-the-art emergency department, modern childbirth center, critical care unit, multiroom surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehab services, and a cancer center. A 22,500 square-foot medical office building provides offices for primary care physicians as well as space for a variety of visiting medical and surgical specialists from the St. Louis area. Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital operates four rural health clinics providing quality health care to surrounding communities. In addition, the hospital operates a comprehensive Therapy and Rehabilitation department and an award-winning Wound Care Center with two hyperbaric chambers. Environmental Services provides housekeeping, linen, floor care and waste management services for the entire MBSH campus. Our environmental services staff are vital to maintaining an infection free and positive facility image. Role Purpose The Housekeeper is an environmental services worker who is responsible for daily housekeeping services as assigned, using procedures as outlined by the hospital or service organization.

  • < 2 years Supervisor Experience

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine janitorial and cleaning activities in patient, public and common areas using prescribed, established cleaning process.
  • Performs discharge cleaning process in inpatient rooms and prepares room for next admission.
  • Performs room set up and changes as needed, including changing linens, cleaning, mopping and furnishing.
  • Keeps equipment clean and functional according to procedure.
  • Notifies supervisor or manager of any equipment, furniture, or building fixtures that are in need of maintenance.
