About The Position

As a Housekeeper at Blackhawk Country Club, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our exclusive club facilities. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring that locker rooms, restrooms, pool areas, dining areas, and all member-facing spaces are impeccably clean and well-maintained. You will help create a welcoming and comfortable environment for our members and guests, contributing to their overall experience at the club. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and service. You will work closely with other staff members.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or a related field is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the job.
  • Dependability: Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
  • Professionalism: Maintains a neat and professional appearance and demonstrates respect and courtesy in interactions with others.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize all surfaces.
  • Ensure that towels, toiletries, and other amenities are stocked and neatly arranged.
  • Remove all trash and make sure receptacles are clean
  • Address any maintenance issues or member concerns promptly.
  • Vacuum carpets, mop floors, and dust surfaces to maintain a pristine environment.
  • Ensure restrooms are presentable and odor-free at all times. Oncourse restrooms must be cleaned and stocked. Water and ice machine should also be cleaned and stocked with cups, lids and straws
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the pool deck, picking up litter and debris.
  • Keep the compactor area clean
  • Monitor the area for safety hazards and report any issues immediately.
  • Clean cobwebs on walls, in light fixtures and ceilings.
  • Perform special cleaning tasks such as spot cleaning carpets, polishing furniture, and cleaning air vents as required.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, and light switches.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to provide a safe environment for members and staff.
  • Work cooperatively with other housekeeping staff and departments to ensure efficient operations.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to maintain a high standard of service.
