About The Position

The Housekeeper is responsible for providing effective housekeeping throughout the Florida property, supporting the overall strategic plan and goals of WOL and its ministries. This includes thorough preparation for Retreats & Conferences, working in conjunction with the Guest Service Desk and Retreats Coordinator, and maintaining general public spaces such as restrooms, auditoriums, conference meeting rooms, guest rooms, and lobbies. The role also involves developing relationships with students, camp crew, and co-workers, and continuously improving the condition and reliability of the Word of Life Florida Facilities.

A proven history of personal time management, communication, and integrity
Be able to carry up to 50 pounds
Be able to climb ladders and be comfortable working at heights of 6 feet
A proven commitment to working accident free
Strong overall cleaning skills
Utilizing Commercial washers and dryers
Utilizing Vacuum cleaners
Utilizing Housekeeping tools
Utilizing Cleaning chemicals
Utilizing Carpet Cleaners
A proven commitment to providing a distraction free environment for the staff and guests

Responsibilities

Provide effective housekeeping throughout the Florida property
Support the overall strategic plan and goals of WOL and its ministries
Prepare thoroughly for Retreats & Conferences
Work in conjunction with Guest Service Desk and Retreats Coordinator
Prepare and maintain General Public Spaces including restrooms, auditoriums, conference meeting rooms, guest rooms, lobby’s, etc.
Develop relationships with Students, Camp Crew, and co workers
Continually improve the condition and reliability of the Word of Life Florida Facilities
