About The Position

Tice Valley Post Acute is seeking a Housekeeper Location: Walnut Creek, CA Pay rate: $17.00 per hour Employment type: Full-time and part-time Benefits: Full-time employees are typically eligible for benefits that may include healthcare (vision and dental), a 401k, paid time off, and other bonus opportunities General Purpose Define the roles and responsibilities of the Housekeeper within a long-term care facility. The purpose is to maintain a safe, orderly and clean environment free of obstacles and odors. Responsibilities

  • Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
  • Maintain handrails to ensure they are clean and free of debris.
  • Clean and remove dust, dirt or food off walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures. towel bars, towel dispensers.
  • Empty trash cans and replace liners.
  • Sweep and mop floors.
  • Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents.
  • Use supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following the user manual instructions.
  • Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner.
  • Notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns.
  • Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies are needing replenished.
