About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas such as patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team at Avera, built with compassion and the goal of Moving Health Forward for patients and staff.

Requirements

Ability to work the hours specified.
Ability to perform each essential job function satisfactorily.
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
Ability to communicate effectively with others.
Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.

Nice To Haves

High School or GED Equivalent
One to three months related experience

Responsibilities

Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.
Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash.
Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
Responsible for maintaining stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies.
Maintain good customer relations at all times.
May sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens.
