About The Position

Position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining patient and non-patient areas within the hospital. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to do heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• No previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning procedures in patient and non-patient areas to provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Completes detailed cleaning duties (high dusting, cleaning of blinds, etc.) on a weekly basis or upon discharge/transfer of a patient.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and deodorizes restrooms to ensure they meet quality expectations.
• Removes trash from the areas being cleaned to a central location.
• Attends in-service programs, meetings, and completes Net Learning modules as required by the hospital.
• Follows applicable safety steps required to perform duties to ensure safety for themselves and patients.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide services based on applicable principles of growth and development.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
