Cedarhurst, a regional healthcare provider dedicated to serving older adults, is seeking a service-minded and career-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeper in the Cedarhurst of Des Peres community. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to connect with and positively impact the lives of our residents on a daily basis. As a Housekeeper, you will work closely with the Environmental Services Director to ensure that our community spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness. Your contributions will be vital in creating a welcoming and safe environment for our residents. Your responsibilities will include performing thorough cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and laundry, as well as managing trash removal. You will adhere to a cleaning schedule that includes daily, weekly, and monthly tasks in assigned areas, which encompass resident apartments, common areas, restrooms, and offices throughout the community. Additionally, you will be responsible for collecting and laundering soiled linens in accordance with established policies and regulations designed to protect the health and hygiene of our residents and team members. This role also involves folding, sorting, and distributing clean laundry, as well as reporting supply and equipment needs to your Supervisor and restocking supplies as necessary. Collaboration with the maintenance team is essential, as you will need to report any necessary repairs noticed during your workday. Effective communication with community staff and residents' families regarding residents' care is crucial, encompassing their physical, personal, and emotional wellbeing. You will be expected to work well with others, take direction from management, and demonstrate initiative, particularly in conflict intervention and resolution for residents, families, employees, and others as needed. The physical demands of this position require that you occasionally stand, move, communicate, and identify written information. You may also need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently, with the ability to lift and/or move up to 200 pounds with assistance. You will also be expected to fulfill other duties as assigned to meet the needs of residents and the community.
