About The Position
As a Housekeeper in Coupeville, WA, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of residents' rooms and common areas within the community. Your responsibilities will include following established cleaning schedules, coordinating daily housekeeping services with nursing staff, and adhering to all sanitary and safety regulations. This position requires a commitment to supporting the dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality of residents, ensuring that their living environment feels like home. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts to keep storage areas organized and tidy. You will disinfect equipment and surfaces using appropriate germicides or steam-operated sterilizers, and clean various areas including rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways, while ensuring that wastebaskets are emptied regularly to meet health standards. Dusting and polishing furniture and equipment will also be part of your daily tasks. Effective communication is essential in this position, as you will relate and interact with residents, their families, community members, volunteers, and other employees. Your ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is crucial for this role, as is your compassion and interest in working with the senior population. Weekend availability is a must, as this position requires flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the community.
