About The Position
As a Housekeeper at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning and supplying various areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, and offices. You will utilize cleaning tools and chemicals to sanitize and maintain the hospital environment, while also observing infection control practices. It is essential that you complete all assigned tasks efficiently and adhere to safety protocols and customer service standards. Additionally, you will support hospital staff during emergencies and assist with urgent cleaning needs, demonstrating your flexibility and dependability in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, as well as the ability to follow both written and verbal directions. While previous experience in hospital housekeeping is preferred, it is not mandatory. The role demands flexible availability, as you must be willing to work all shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends. Proficiency in English is also required to ensure effective communication with supervisors and government personnel.
