The Housekeeper is responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry functions in order to create a safe, secure, and inviting environment for residents, families, and team members while meeting and exceeding Sunrise quality service standards. Essential Duties include performing general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas, as well as laundry duties and assisting with resident care when requested. The role emphasizes the importance of safety, risk management, and teamwork.

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas as assigned.
  • Clean and sanitize lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures.
  • Dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize and hand shampoo furniture.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Collect, clean, and redistribute the community laundry.
  • Sort, wash, and dry linens properly following approved laundry procedures.
  • Inspect linens routinely for wear and tear.
  • Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested.
  • Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use.
  • Participate as a member of a team and commit to working toward team goals.
  • High School diploma / GED preferred.
  • Able to provide housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment.
