About The Position
Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Housekeeper to join our team in Elgin, IL. As a leading not-for-profit organization, LSSI has been providing healing, justice, and wholeness to individuals and communities for over 150 years. The Housekeeper will play a vital role in supporting our clients and staff by ensuring a clean and safe environment. This position involves being a liaison to supervisory staff regarding daily housekeeping operations and ensuring that all housekeeping duties are performed efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will provide essential housekeeping and laundry services to residents as outlined in their service plans. You will be responsible for maintaining open communication with residents and other staff members, responding to both scheduled and unpredictable needs, and participating in in-service programs and educational training to meet certification requirements. The Housekeeper will also be expected to develop and maintain relationships that foster the dignity and self-respect of residents while encouraging their independence.
