About The Position
Colonial Harbor, the premier retirement community for active seniors in Yorktown, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual for the full-time position of Housekeeper/Server. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residents' living spaces while also providing exceptional service during meal times. The ideal candidate will be responsible for light housekeeping duties in residents' apartments, including laundry and linen service, as well as cleaning common areas of the community. Additionally, the Housekeeper/Server will serve meals to residents at their tables, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. To excel in this position, candidates must possess a friendly and professional demeanor, with a passion for improving the lives of others. Effective communication skills are crucial, as the role involves interacting with residents and understanding their needs. While prior housekeeping experience is preferred, it is not mandatory; however, a general knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures is required. A team player mentality is essential, as the Housekeeper/Server will work closely with other staff members to create a welcoming environment for our residents.
