About The Position

The Room Attendant or Housekeeper at Hyatt is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of assigned guest rooms, ensuring a high standard of service and hospitality. This full-time position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall guest experience.

Requirements

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous cleaning/EVS experience is preferred.
• Ability to learn about cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods, and cleaning sensitive materials.
• Must be able to effectively communicate and execute basic requests in English.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 30 lbs).
• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, pull, squat, kneel and bend.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, typically 8am-4:30pm including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests and responding to queries.
• Changing bed linen and making beds.
• Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
• Sweeping and mopping floors.
• Vacuuming carpets.
• Dusting and polishing furniture.
• Emptying trash containers.
• Restocking beverages and food items in the mini bar.
• Cleaning public areas, such as corridors.
• Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs.
• Updating status of guest rooms on assignment sheet.
• Returning and restocking cleaning cart at shift end.
• Checking all appliances are in working order.
• Removing room service items.
• Ensuring confidentiality and securing guest room.
• Following all company safety and security procedures.
• Carrying out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
