About The Position

Valley Hi Nursing Home is seeking a part time Housekeeper to join their team. The Housekeeper position uses aseptic techniques to clean and maintain offices, patient units and other assigned areas including but not limited to public areas, isolation areas, dining rooms, restrooms, tub/shower rooms, and service areas. We are looking for reliable, energetic individuals to join our team. We will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications and no experience, but if you have some experience and have some talent we encourage you to apply for this position.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No prior experience

Responsibilities

• Performs general housekeeping including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sweeping; disinfects rooms according to infection control policies and procedures.
• Removes contaminated materials from rooms and deposits them in prescribed containers for safe disposal.
• Observes waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy.
• Change, wash, and make resident beds.
• Assist with laundry duties as required.
• Prevents spread of infection through proper handling and transporting of laundry, bedpans, linens, and washbasins.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of client information.
• Identify and report potential safety hazards.
• Interacts with residents, staff, and others within and outside the unit to exchange information and efficiently accomplish work assignments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
