Your Mission in Action The Housekeeper is responsible for carrying out cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the facility to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for both children and staff. The primary goal is to uphold a welcoming and well-maintained atmosphere for children, families, and staff alike.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Six (6) months of housekeeping or janitorial experience
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assigned tasks and unplanned requests during shift
  • Good time management and organizational skills with the ability to complete multiple tasks
  • Strong people and interpersonal skills with the ability to work diverse groups of people

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (based on service populations and area)
  • One (1) year housekeeping or janitorial experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform general housekeeping duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash receptacles, polishing furniture/fixtures, etc.
  • Clean and sanitize common areas, restrooms, windows, walls, carpets, etc.
  • Spot clean and maintain resident and common areas as needed
  • Clean and store all equipment and supplies
  • Provide general cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment as needed
  • Ensure the environment is free of hazardous chemicals/products and kept safe for residents and staff
  • Perform all cleaning duties using the proper supplies, equipment, and chemicals
  • Report all accidents and incidents to Facilities Manager in a timely manner
  • Notify Facilities Manager regarding the need for major facility/building issues
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
