About the position

The Housekeeper/Nanny position is a full-time role based in Locust Valley, NY, requiring a dependable and meticulous individual to manage household cleaning and childcare duties. The ideal candidate will work five days a week, including weekends, and will have the option to live in or out. This role emphasizes a warm and professional demeanor, with a focus on maintaining a clean and organized home while providing care for an 8-year-old child and a small family dog.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the home, including yard furniture
• Perform laundry and ironing, including clothing and linens
• Cook family meals and assist with meal prep
• Assist with set-up and cleaning during dinner events and gatherings
• Organize closets, clothes, and dry cleaning
• Provide patience and guidance to an 8-year-old daughter
• Care for and walk a small family dog
• Organize grocery delivery with the homeowner

Requirements

• Must have prior experience in childcare and housekeeping
• Able to manage a 50/50 split of cleaning and childcare duties
• Experience with cooking and meal preparation
• Must drive and have reliable transportation
• Available to work weekends (non-negotiable)

Nice-to-haves

• Fluent in English (Spanish or Italian is a plus)
• Experience with cooking (preferred)
• Childcare experience (5 years preferred)
