About The Position

Episcopal Retirement Services has an award-winning culture and is hiring passionate professionals for the Housekeeper position. The role involves day-to-day housekeeping functions such as cleaning, polishing, sanitizing, sweeping, and vacuuming in both resident rooms and common areas of the facility. The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that established Infection Control practices and safety precautions are followed at all times. This position requires coordination with nursing services and performing terminal cleaning procedures when necessary. The ideal candidate will exhibit behavior in accordance with ERS's core values and maintain confidentiality of all current and prospective staff information in accordance with HIPPA guidelines.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience required.
• Able to read, write, and understand the English language.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions regarding cleaning compounds and procedures.
• Able to push, pull, lift 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally push up to 150 lbs.
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions including cleaning, polishing, sanitizing, sweeping, and vacuuming.
• Ensure that established Infection Control practices and safety precautions are followed.
• Coordinate housekeeping services with nursing services during routine assignments and emergency needs.
• Perform terminal cleaning procedures when a resident is discharged or transferred.
• Report all accidents, incidents, and hazardous conditions to the Supervisor.
• Maintain work areas free of hazardous objects and ensure proper storage of equipment and supplies.
• Exhibit behavior in accordance with ERS's core values.
• Maintain confidentiality of all current and prospective staff information.
