About The Position

The primary responsibility of a Housekeeper Lead is to ensure general cleanliness of the New Freedom facility and to act as the Lead, helping the Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee and guide the work of the Housekeeper staff. Housekeeping performs routine cleaning of all common areas in the facility and ensures cleaning and sanitation requirements are maintained.

  • Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking within the facility

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine daily cleaning and sanitation of the front lobby to ensure a welcoming, hygienic environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all common areas, including sitting areas, vending areas, hallways, elevators, offices, bathrooms, and other shared spaces.
  • Vacuum floors and hallways and thoroughly clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces throughout the facility.
  • Wash, dry, fold, and manage inventory of towels and linens, including fulfilling bedding requests and linen exchange orders.
  • Pick up, launder, and deliver members’ personal laundry in a timely and professional manner.
  • Clean, prepare, and reset vacant rooms for incoming members, including making beds with fresh linens after discharges.
  • Provide leadership and ongoing training, support, and guidance to housekeeping staff; serve as a role model for quality and efficiency standards.
  • Support the Housekeeping Supervisor by monitoring performance metrics, maintaining department supplies and vendor relationships, ensuring quality assurance standards, and serving as back-up to ensure all service deliverables are met.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned to support our mission.
