About The Position

PURPOSE STATEMENT:Responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One or more years’ housekeeping experience in a commercial, clinic or healthcare environment required.
  • Valid state driver's license, where required in a facility.
  • CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning duties safely and in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations or law.
  • Follow organization policy and procedures in order to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment.
  • Other housekeeping duties, such as move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens, cooking utensils, silverware, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, as needed.
  • Launder soiled linens as directed.
  • Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department/unit uses.
  • Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift.
  • Routinely practice infection control measures.
  • Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility.
  • May oversee the day-to-day operation of housekeeping for facility.
  • May be responsible for stocking of supplies.
  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
