About The Position

The Housekeeping Team Leader is a hands-on, energetic role that drives the heartbeat of daily housekeeping operations. This leader motivates and supports Room Attendants and House Attendants, keeps the team focused and moving efficiently, and ensures every space meets high standards of cleanliness and comfort. Trusted to step in as the go-to leader when the Manager is away, this role is perfect for someone who takes pride in leading others, solving challenges in the moment, and creating a clean, welcoming environment guests love.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of two years of related housekeeping experience.
  • Strong attention to detail with effective organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated good judgment when interacting with owners, guests, and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure overall cleanliness of guest units and public areas by effectively supervising housekeeping staff, including those assigned to laundry, unit preparation, and cleaning.
  • Coordinate housekeeping activities with other departments to ensure services are delivered efficiently and on time.
  • Train, coach, and support the development of housekeeping staff, and partner with Resort Management to identify and address future training needs.
  • Prepare and maintain housekeeping schedules as directed by Resort Management.
  • Assign and manage daily work responsibilities for housekeeping team members.
  • Prepare maintenance work orders and monitor progress through completion.
  • Serve as a primary resource for housekeeping staff questions and concerns, involving Resort Management as appropriate, including but not limited to employee injuries, leave of absence requests, and company policy clarification.
  • Communicate performance and personnel issues to Resort Management and provide input for annual performance reviews.
  • Manage housekeeping department inventory as directed by the Resort Manager, including tracking and restocking linens, housekeeping supplies, and guest amenities.
  • Respond to guest service requests promptly, professionally, and courteously.
  • Report employee injuries and incidents to Resort Management or Human Resources in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable city, county, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform or assist with cleaning and inspection duties as needed.
