Canterbury Woods in Pacific Grove, CA is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Laundry Aide to join our team on a full-time basis. This position is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our residents' living spaces and common areas. Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will perform a variety of housekeeping and cleaning duties within established guidelines. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all areas are kept neat and clean, contributing to the overall satisfaction of our residents and their families. As a Housekeeper/Laundry Aide, you will be responsible for providing quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers, and vendors. Your daily tasks will include dusting furniture, washing walls, ceilings, and woodwork, as well as cleaning windows, door panels, and sills. You will also vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, and hallways, and may need to rearrange small furniture as necessary. Additionally, you will be responsible for sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors, emptying wastebaskets, and cleaning ashtrays. Transporting trash and waste to the disposal area is also part of your duties. You will clean lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, elevator landings, stairways, and hallways as scheduled, and report any equipment, structures, or furniture that needs repair. In addition to housekeeping duties, you will assist with laundry and linens as assigned, performing all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading washers and dryers, ironing, folding, storing, and delivering. Maintaining the cleanliness of laundry machinery and the laundry area is also essential. Safety is a top priority at Front Porch, and you will be expected to follow department safety standards, practice body mechanic techniques, and participate in campus-wide safety programs. You will wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and report any safety hazards or accidents to your supervisor. Attendance at all mandatory in-service meetings is required, and compliance with all department and facility policies and procedures is expected. This role requires a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in all tasks performed.
