The purpose of this position is to accomplish the daily cleaning and sanitation of all non-production equipment and areas in the Brunswick facility by performing certain assigned cleaning tasks. Contribute to the profit and well-being of the Company by performing tasks in a safe, efficient, quality-conscious, and cost-conscious manner and by working in a cooperative manner with his/her supervisor and co-workers.

Requirements

• Ability to learn and apply cleaning and sanitizing techniques.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds and push wheeled carts weighing more than 100 pounds.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and GMPs requirements.
• Ability to identify and communicate problems effectively.

Responsibilities

• Learns and applies techniques of cleaning and sanitizing non-production equipment and areas as assigned for the Brunswick plant.
• Performs specific tasks associated with cleaning, including dumping tubs of food or packaging waste into proper disposal containers.
• Wipes off and washes tables, lockers, and other surfaces.
• Sweeps food and packaging materials off the floor and places waste in proper containers.
• Visually inspects areas to ensure all debris is removed and sanitizes as required.
• Safely operates machinery during cleanings.
• Applies all safe work practices associated with cleaning tasks.
• Cleans and sanitizes work area in line with plant procedures on housekeeping, sanitation, waste water, and solids management.
• Identifies problems at assigned work positions and determines if solutions are within training and knowledge.
• Develops and maintains a good working relationship with Team Coordinator and other managers.
• Cooperates and shows commitment to team goals and efforts.
• Follows plant rules and policies and Company code of ethics.
• Assists in orienting and/or training other team members on assigned tasks.
