Your attention to detail keeps living areas spotless, sanitary, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors alike. Beyond cleaning, you’re a guardian of safety, ensuring all assigned areas are orderly and free from hazards. Requirements

  • Valid PA Driver’s License
  • Capable and Ready: Able to successfully perform all key responsibilities of the role with reliability and care.
  • Committed to Safety: Strictly follows universal precautions and uses personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe environment, especially when there is potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
  • Strength & Stamina: You should have the ability to be on your feet for most of your shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare & Equip: Obtain all necessary equipment and supplies before proceeding to your assigned work area to ensure a seamless start.
  • Timely Service Delivery: Provide requested housekeeping services to elders within the scheduled appointment timeframe, ensuring satisfaction and reliability.
  • Schedule Management: Effectively manage and track the schedule for all assigned Independent Living cleanings to maintain organization and efficiency.
  • Equipment Operator: Use the appropriate housekeeping equipment for each task and promptly notify your supervisor of any equipment needing repair.
  • Infection Control Advocate: Practice standard infection control procedures and consistently wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary to promote a safe environment.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all established safety rules and procedures and immediately report any safety concerns or hazards to your supervisor.
  • Supply Stewardship: Return unused supplies to the proper storage area at the end of each shift, maintaining order and readiness.
  • Organized Workspaces: Keep carts, closets, and equipment clean, neat, and orderly at all times; ensure housekeeping carts are locked when unattended.
  • Chemical & Procedure Adherence: Follow established procedures and use the correct chemicals and equipment tailored for each cleaning task.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment in proper working order by performing basic preventive care to avoid interruptions.
  • Tech Utilization: Use WorxHub software for billing, scheduling, and quality reporting to stay connected and efficient.
  • Thorough Cleaning: Clean elder rooms, baths, offices, halls, and other designated areas with attention to detail.
  • Team Support: Assist with moving furniture as needed to facilitate thorough cleaning.
  • Bedding Care: Wash beds and mattresses and remake beds on scheduled days or as requested to ensure resident comfort.
  • Waste Management: Collect trash and recycling from all facility areas and transport to designated disposal locations.
  • Detail Cleaning: Dust high vents, cabinets, and other furnishings to maintain a pristine environment.
  • Deep Cleaning Specialist: Use extractors for carpet and chair cleaning when necessary for deeper cleaning.
  • Basic Floor Care: Perform routine floor care, including vacuuming, dust mopping, and damp mopping floors in rooms, corridors, entrances, stairwells, and other assigned areas.
  • On-Campus Driver: Safely drive fleet vehicles around campus to complete assigned cleanings efficiently.
  • Team-Oriented Flexibility: Take on additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the department.
