About The Position

This opening is for our Housekeeper II position, which provides high levels of cleanliness, quality, and service to patients, families and customers. Employees in this role may perform their work at any or all of Nationwide Children's Hospital locations, including the Big Lots Behavioral Health Pavilion, Livingston Ambulatory Center, Livingston Orthopedic and Surgery Center, Conference Center, and Main Campus. The position is for the 1st Shift, working Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays required.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• If position is housed within behavioral health environment, successful completion of TCI (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention) requirement is required during orientation process or within 90 days of hire. Must maintain throughout employment.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Demonstrate high degree of proficiency in the 10 Step Cleaning Process.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Displays positive customer service skills and promotes a team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning and coordinates with management to address and resolve facility maintenance, service issues and other concerns.
• Demonstrates knowledge of 10 Step Cleaning Process and appropriate chemical use to meet department standards.
• Practices proper methods of Infection Control in conjunction with cleaning procedures.
• Demonstrates proper use and knowledge of PPE and door precautions.
• Maintains closet, housekeeping cart and cleaning equipment in clean, orderly and good working condition.
• Maintains department’s standards of practice as evidenced by quality control inspections and customer feedback.
