About The Position

Daily cleaning of floors in corridors and other assigned areas. Project cleaning of walls, lights, windows, etc. following established policies and procedures.

Requirements

None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.
Demonstrates knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals, necessary to shampoo carpets, buff floors, vacuum carpet, extract carpet.
Collects trash from utility rooms and other trash collection points and transports to compactor area. Cleans trash cans and reline with plastic bags upon request. Demonstrates proper handling of bio-hazardous wastes.
Maintains floors, baseboards and carpets in good condition by dust mopping, polishing, vacuuming, damp buffing, shampooing and extracting.
Moves furniture and sets up meeting rooms.
Daily checks assigned equipment and has repairs made when needed.
Assists in cleaning of emergency spills that are observed or upon request.
Observes and reports the need for repairs to equipment, furnishings, buildings and fixtures.
Performs duties of a Housekeeper I if needed.
Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
