Summary Provides daily cleaning services such as making beds; vacuuming; cleaning bathrooms, tub, and sink; dusting; emptying trash receptacles; and cleaning rooms to promote a clean, clutter-free, and odor-free environment. Operates floor equipment to strip, wax, and refurbish floors.

Requirements

• 1 year Experience in housekeeping
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to lead the housekeeping team.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Knowledge of methods of cleaning patient rooms and operation of laundry services.
• Knowledge of equipment such as vacuums, auto scrubbers, extractors, auto burnishers, and commercial washers and dryers.

Responsibilities

• Keeps all public restrooms clean and stocked with appropriate supplies for the convenience of residents, staff, and visitors.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Empties all wastebasket and trash receptacles and ashtrays to maintain an odor-free and sanitary environment.
• Handles and keeps all chemicals under lock and key when not in use for the safety of the residents.
• Performs restorative floor care such as stripping, refinishing, and top scrubbing and recoating of hard surface flooring.
• Collects, transports, and prepares infectious waste; sterilizes and documents activities.
• Washes walls, ceilings, doors, windows, blinds, vents, and lights.
