About The Position

The Housekeeper II performs indirect patient care by cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining floors in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive fashion, ensuring the environment is free of hazards for the well-being of patients, other associates, and themselves. This role requires an understanding and willingness to adhere to infection control, housekeeping department policies and procedures, and safety guidelines. The associate is also responsible for removing trash, biohazardous waste, and contaminated soiled linen from all areas of the hospital according to established housekeeping policies and procedures. Additionally, the position involves requesting necessary cleaning supplies and equipment, and maintaining equipment by keeping it clean, neat, and in working condition, following manufacturer's suggested practices. This is a safety-sensitive position, meaning impaired performance could harm self or others, and active use of medical marijuana is prohibited.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to sufficiently read and write
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions
• Maintains good physical and emotional well being
• Exhibit ability to set priorities, organize work load, and efficiently utilize supplies and equipment
• Must not be actively engaged in the use of medical marijuana, even if in possession of a valid medical marijuana card, due to the "safety sensitive" nature of the position
