About The Position
Join our Environmental Services team and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role is essential to patient safety and infection prevention, ensuring high-quality cleaning and sanitizing throughout the facility.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
- No previous experience required—training provided!
- Must be able to wear protective equipment (gowns, gloves, goggles, closed-toe shoes)
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, squat, lift/carry up to 35 lbs. or more up to 80% of the time
- Ability to climb ladders and operate floor-cleaning equipment
- Requires the ability to clean areas that require technical cleaning including IR/Cardiac Cath/Mother-Baby/NICU/OR/ED.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, clinics, and public spaces
- Apply disinfection protocols in high-acuity clinical and procedural areas
- Remove hazardous and biohazardous waste in compliance with safety regulations
- Operate approved cleaning tools and light floor equipment
- Communicate and collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care flow
