About The Position

Performs a variety of housekeeping duties in order to maintain the hospital facilities in a neat, orderly and sanitary manner. Cleans and moves furniture, equipment and uses proper cleaning supplies according to established procedures.

Requirements

Ability to follow oral instructions and understand simple written instructions.
Able to follow work schedule which may vary with the assignments.
Experience in the hospitality field, (Healthcare preferred)
High School Diploma or GED or related experience preferred.
Good command of the English language.

Responsibilities

Ability to safely and competently perform assigned duties
Ability to follow through when given directions
Ability to prioritize workload efficiently.
Ability to perform the basic cleaning functions within the patient setting.
Ability to perform job function utilizing safe practices such as but not limited to:
Proper use of wet floor signs
Safe Bio hazard waste handling
Linen bags change out ½ full
Ability to respond to emergency situations involving either patient safety or building safety according to hospital policies and procedures and/or regulatory requirements
Ability to be at work and be on time
Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives
Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner
Ability to prioritize and multitask
