About The Position

Maintains guest rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and public areas in a clean and sanitized condition. With the Manager and Housekeeping Lead, develops and executes a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly plan to maintain the cleanliness of the house. The Facilities Tech portion of this position will assist with outside and inside activities that require the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, move furniture and operate small yardwork equipment such as hoses and blowers. This position will be to handle all outside entrance cleaning and upkeep, along with duties within the house requiring lifting/flipping mattresses as needed, moving furniture for cleaning and/or Shadowlawn room set-up; and other manual duties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans and prepares guest rooms, storage areas and public areas to the required standard.
  • Collects linen and cleaning supplies necessary for completion of duties.
  • Provides report at end of shift to House Manager or Guest Relations Coordinator on duty.
  • Maintains all equipment in clean, sanitary, and working condition.
  • Reports any maintenance or safety-related problems.
  • Cleans and sanitizes toilets, sinks, and mirrors, floors and tubs in all washrooms and bathrooms.
  • Sweeps and mops all floors not carpeted.
  • Empties trash from public areas and guest rooms daily.
  • Replenishes toilet paper and hand towels in washrooms.
  • Replenishes all room supplies including linens, towels, and amenities.
  • Schedules daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans with the House Manager to maintain a high level of cleanliness in the house.
  • Polishes floors and fittings in bathrooms.
  • Receives and returns keys to key box at end of shift.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to move large hose and patio furniture and operate blower to ensure clean areas weekly and for special events – at entrances to Shadowlawn and Clara’s House, on the outside back patio and garden entrance.
  • Clean outside windows regularly (bottom floor only)
  • Assist with mattress flipping in guest rooms on a rotating basis as needed quarterly.
  • Assist with moving furniture for cleaning or other events.
  • Maintain organization of supply closet in Catering Kitchen.
  • Sweep out catering kitchen and Shadowlawn foyer weekly.
  • Maintain monthly fire safety inspections and log.
  • Conduct minor property maintenance, determine when facilities will need to be contacted and place corresponding work orders.
  • Set up and break down conference room arrangements according to event orders, keeping all equipment secured when not in use.
  • Maintain proper appearance of conference center and equipment, ensuring furnishings are clean, safe and in proper working condition.
  • Maintain current inventory log of catering kitchen, supply closet, linens and conference items.
