We are seeking a Housekeeper/EVS Technician to cover night shift as needed. The Housekeeper/EVS Technician is responsible for cleaning patient rooms, bathrooms and offices in accordance with prescribed procedures in order to ensure a clean environment and prevent the spread of germs.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read and write.
- Prior institutional housekeeping experience preferred.
- Must be able to perform short cycle, repetitive duties under specific instruction.

Responsibilities
- Cleans lobby, Emergency Room, Medical Records and/or bathrooms depending on schedule.
- Germicides all counter tops, bathrooms; removes trash, dust mops, damp mops, and displays "wet floor" signs as appropriate.
- After general cleaning is complete, refers to slips at nurse’s station to clean discharged patient rooms.
- Spot cleans walls; washes furniture and beds with germicide; cleans mirrors, sinks, toilets, tub or shower, high dust drapes, TV and doors; makes up bed with clean linen; dusts and damp mops bathrooms and displays "Wet Floor" sign as appropriate; vacuums carpets.
- Notifies nurse’s station that patient rooms are ready for next patient once cleaned.
- Performs daily patient room cleaning by emptying trash; high dusts, damp wipes with germicide over bed tables, bedside tables, telephone and window sills. Germicides toilet, sink, tub or shower; dust mops and damp mops room, vacuums carpet and inspects work.
- Reports broken furniture and unsafe conditions to Supervisor.
- Labor and Delivery Area: Dresses in scrub suit; terminally cleans by germiciding walls, floor, tables, Rick bucket and light fixtures. Wipes down with dry cloth; uses mop to remove water from floor.
- Answers department pages and responds to problems in a professional and timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned in a positive and cooperative manner.
