About The Position

Saint Alphonsus in Boise is looking to hire a Supervisor for our Environmental Services group; this position will work full-time on the evening shift: 3pm-11:30pm. GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE: Provides a consistent acceptable level of cleanliness and to promote a clean, safe and pleasant environment in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible within the boundary of available resources.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • 1 year of experience in leading and/or supervising staff in in a health care facility or two years of experience in leading and/or supervising staff in a non-health care facility required.
  • Ability to use vacuum cleaners, shampoo machines, sweepers, bonnet buffing machines, buffing machines, and carpet extractors.
  • Demonstrate leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Verbal ability is needed to supervise workers.
  • Must be able to communicate by telephone or answering machine.
  • Must be computer proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
  • Knowledge of chemicals used for cleaning and disinfecting.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational school or one-year college with courses in hospital housekeeping or institutional management preferred.
  • Valid driver's license to drive company vehicles to off campus buildings preferred.

  • Manages customer satisfaction and initiates the Customer Service Recovery Program.
  • Conducts monthly staff meetings.
  • Conducts safety, policy, and procedural training routinely.
