About The Position

Flexicon is a privately held and operated designer and manufacturer of bulk material handling equipment and systems. Flexicon's global headquarters is located in Bethlehem, PA in the heart of the beautiful Lehigh Valley, having manufacturing operations on multiple continents, with subsidiaries located in Australia, Chile, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, and The United Kingdom. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized office environment. This role ensures that all areas of the workplace—including offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, cafeteria and common areas—are kept tidy and presentable for staff and visitors. The work hours are Mon-Fri, 7am-330pm.

Requirements

  • Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred in an industrial setting preferred. (office or commercial environment a plus)
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Good attention to detail and reliability
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks (e.g., lifting up to 25 lbs, standing for long periods)
  • Long periods of standing and regular walking
  • Use of hands to handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  • Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, talk or hear
  • Regularly lift and/or move 10+ pounds
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Clean, dust, and sanitize desks, chairs, and other office areas
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the office
  • Empty waste bins and recycling containers; replace liners as needed
  • Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors
  • Sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and floors; restock supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper)
  • Clean cafeteria, including countertops, appliances, and sinks
  • Refill cleaning supplies and notify the Facilities Manager when inventory is low
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damages to the Maintenance department
  • Follow proper cleaning and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored
  • Additional cleaning tasks as required
