Requirements
- Able to successfully perform all key responsibilities of the role with reliability and care.
- Strictly follows universal precautions and uses personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe environment, especially when there is potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
Responsibilities
- Gather all necessary equipment and supplies before heading to your assigned work area, ensuring you're ready to start each shift efficiently.
- Operate housekeeping equipment properly and report any issues to your supervisor to keep everything running smoothly.
- Follow infection control procedures and wear personal protective equipment when needed.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and immediately report any concerns or hazards.
- Return unused supplies to the correct storage areas and leave carts and closets neat, organized, and locked when unattended.
- Follow established procedures and use the correct chemicals and tools for each task to ensure high-quality results.
- Perform basic maintenance and preventive care on all housekeeping equipment to keep it in top condition.
- Use WorxHub software for logging tasks, scheduling, and quality reporting.
- Maintain cleanliness in elder rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas with great attention to detail.
- Help move furniture for thorough cleaning and assist with bed washing, mattress cleaning, and bed-making as scheduled or requested.
- Vacuum, dust mop, and damp mop floors throughout the facility, including corridors, entrances, and stairwells.
- Collect and transport trash and recyclables from all areas to proper disposal locations.
- Dust vents, cabinets, and furnishings, including those hard-to-reach spots.
- Use extractors to clean carpets and upholstered furniture as necessary.
