Housekeeper 2 (Dodge County)
About The Position
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is currently seeking full time Housekeeper 2 to maintain sanitation and cleanliness for our jail based competency restoration program which will be based onsite in Dodge County, Georgia. Job Description Performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation, and cleanliness in facilities. Maintains supplies as needed. Operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment. Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse. Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed. Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition. Collects, sorts, launders, transports and distributes linens and uniforms. Cleans and straightens assigned areas
Requirements
- One year of experience in related area of assignment OR One year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 1 (FES040) or position equivalent.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check (which includes criminal records check, driver's history, and verification of work history) and a post-hire federal background investigation.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and will be placed in the pool for the State Random Drug Testing Program.
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in an institutional/healthcare setting
- One or more years working in housekeeping
- Experience working as a LEAD or Supervisor
