Their work focuses on delivering safe, high‑quality clinical care—administering medications and treatments, performing assessments, monitoring health status, and supporting diagnostic processes. This position is for 3rd shift, 7p-7a Tuesday-Thursday, and every other Friday. Competitive shift differentials! Household LPN The household nurse performs nursing functions within the household that require at minimum a licensed practical nurse, including passing medications or, observing residents' condition and communicating them to the Nurse Leader, the registered nurse in house or the physician as needed. The household nurse works closely with the Nurse Leader to ensure regulatory compliance, nurture a person-centered and resident-directed culture, strengthen the ability of the household to grow as a separate effective home and promote individual and team learning in the household. Household nurses participate in teaching and role-modeling of professional nursing practices to household staff and resident advocates for quality clinical care. They provide each resident with routine daily nursing care and other desired services in accordance with their assessment, choices and plan of care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of practical nursing
  • Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience
  • Must meet regulatory requirements for licensure as practical nurse in home state.
  • CPR certified.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership qualities, interpersonal relationship skills, and knowledge of federal and state regulations governing clinical care and nursing practice.
  • Commitment to person centered and resident directed care is essential.
  • Will comply with all federal and state regulatory requirements to maintain licensure as nurse.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year skilled nursing facility experience preferred
  • Specialized training or experience in geriatric nursing is desirable.
