This position serves as a liaison between Meadow View and the East Kitchen by collaborating on menu development to meet resident needs. The role also serves in a consultative capacity for food quality, preparation, and presentation, while developing and maintaining training curriculum for homemakers and household coordinators, and acting as an internal resource to promote consistency, teamwork, and continuous improvement across households. What You’ll Do Meadow View Complies with established policies and procedures and maintains established standards and practices including the Compliance Program/Code of Conduct. Follows Residents’ Rights policies at all times. Supervises the homemaking staff in the household. Creates the schedules of the team members they supervise to ensure that the household has adequate coverage, ensuring coverage of care and services that residents require. Manages the Homemaker payroll functions and coaching. Alongside nursing and resilient living, this team member assists with learning residents’ preferences. Participates in stand-up meetings, resident council meetings, and other meetings as scheduled. Responsible for ensuring each household has adequate paper copies of instructions; kept in kitchen binder for Homemakers (i.e. Daily Cleaning Sheets, Resident Diet Sheets & Menus, etc.). Completes weekly Production Sheets and submit them to East Kitchen team. Working knowledge of regulatory requirements, forms and information required during licensure surveys and information that must be maintained on a monthly basis for reporting. Facilitates and influences the mood of the households, helping to create a positive one. Ensures that the Household is properly staffed, filling openings and conducting interviews, hiring, and monitoring and participating in training of new team members. Maintains adequate food supplies within the household. Assists to manage department’s allotted budget. Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in daily responsibilities, with the ability to adjust roles and priorities to meet the evolving needs of residents and support the overall team. Meadow View and Skilled Nursing Support Creates and implements training programs for homemakers and household coordinators. Responsible for working cooperatively with Resilient living to plan and host special household activities. Leads a regularly scheduled food activity in Meadow View, Skilled Nursing Households, and other areas on campus. Maintains clear and consistent communication with the directors of the different care areas Serves as an internal resource for any food/dining areas of improvement. Problem-solves when concerns arise and ensures that complaints and concerns are handled in a timely manner; keeps administration aware of issues. Helps to problem solve staffing issues. Think holistically with homemaker staffing and, at times, personally flexing to help other households. Comes to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrates dependability and punctuality. Participates in ongoing training and in-service sessions. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
