About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: The House Supervisor supervises the delivery of nursing care provided by professional and support nursing staff on a designated unit. Care is provided in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health System. The House Supervisor prescribes; coordinates and delegates care utilizing the nursing process that is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The House Supervisor is accountable for nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN or MSN preferred.
  • 3 years prior psychiatric nursing experience preferred, prior experience working with specific patient population and prior charge nurse experience preferred.
  • Licensure and registration by the Tennessee Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
  • Knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, behavior and crisis management and CPR training preferred.

Nice To Haves
