The House Supervisor demonstrates critical thinking, skills, scientific judgment and leadership in anticipating, delegating and planning in accordance with the law and applicable governing/accrediting agencies, policies, protocols, procedures, established standards and physician orders. The House Supervisor has accountability and responsibility for all areas of the hospital when management is not present (clinical and non-clinical) and reports to the appropriate executive officer, director, or designee. The individual is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing, and provision of service/care to patients or customers. The House Supervisor represents the management team throughout the hospital during the hours when managers are not present. This individual exhibits the hospital mission, culture, and performance standards on a consistent basis, works to achieve a high level of customer service, and identifies areas of improvement and implements system changes to encourage progress. The House Supervisor is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.
