About The Position

Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in a relaxed setting in Greenville, Texas. Our comfortable, homelike atmosphere is conducive to healing for the adults and seniors we treat. Our greatest asset is the staff, comprised of psychiatrists, professional nurses, social workers and therapists. These individuals work as a team to uphold Glen Oaks Hospital’s reputation for excellence in helping patients resolve mental health and addiction problems. For over 30 years, Glen Oaks Hospital has been a leader in the field of mental health and chemical dependency care, and our staff is dedicated to researching the latest treatment approaches and applying this to our overall treatment philosophy. The House Supervisor assumes responsibility for complete facility operations during the assigned shift. This includes supervising nursing and clinical staff, ensuring that patient care is provided in an accurate and timely manner. This position has responsibility for the supervision of care patients.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management, bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric nursing facility.
  • Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
  • CPR certification and training in appropriate use of seclusion and restraints (CPI) prior to on the unit orientation; must pass a medication administration exam.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
  • Three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric facility preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission and state and federal regulatory requirements preferred.

Responsibilities
