Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
• BCLS and ACLS certification.

• Appropriate degree from an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hospital staff to ensure quality care and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Provide professional guidance for nursing personnel and manage disciplinary issues.
• Prepare administrative reports and review staffing and budgetary needs.
• Integrate Nursing Services functions with other hospital departments.
• Participate in program development and training for nurse-recruitment activities.
• Assist with continuing education programs for nursing staff.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate designated nursing staff.
• Assign duties and coordinate nursing services.
• Develop nursing protocols and procedures.
• Assess patient needs and participate in providing nursing care.
• Maintain patient health care records and ensure documentation is appropriate.
• Maintain supply inventory records and order supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Monitor employee performance and respond to compliance issues.
