About The Position

The House Officer at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel, is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, personnel, and property. This role involves risk and loss management, workplace safety, and maintaining life/fire safety systems to prevent any situations that could jeopardize hotel operations.

Requirements

• Minimum two years' experience in a similar capacity for a luxury or ultra-luxury property.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior experience in Security/Loss Prevention, Law Enforcement, Military, or Fire Life Safety is required.
• Must have successfully passed the Fire Life Safety Director Exam.
• New York State Guard License is required.
• Certified in Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED, and First Aid.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in languages other than English is preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Secure the building by monitoring, inspecting, and securing all entrances and exits.
• Patrol the property or maintain a fixed post position, reporting any suspicious activity and investigating accidents or criminal acts.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency policies, procedures, and regulations to respond effectively to alarms and incidents.
• Ensure the continuous and safe operation of elevators and access doors.
• Monitor the locations of Fire Life Safety Systems and equipment in the hotel.
• Maintain confidentiality of all security reports and documents.

Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate of $31.05 - $41.40 per hour.
