About The Position

A family based in Mamaroneck, Westchester, NY, is seeking a house manager/nanny. The candidate would primarily be caring for their 9-year-old daughter, as her two older siblings are at boarding school. This position can be either live-in, or live-out but the candidate must have the flexibility to stay overnight or longer (up to a week), when the father travels for business. If the candidate chooses to live-in, a private bedroom and bathroom would be provided. The family may move to NYC at some point. So, if the candidate is live-out, they must be able to continue with a commute. The schedule is to be confirmed but ideally will be Sunday through Thursday for a guaranteed 45-hours per week. The ideal candidate will be warm, loving, and flexible, who will be a partner in raising the children properly.

Requirements

• The candidate must have a firm but fair approach
• Must be reliable and flexible
• Be emotionally intelligent, and have a warm and caring nature
• Fluent English speaking
• Driver with a clean licence
• Would like the candidate to have longevity with their family
• Possible travel with the family - travel ready passport for domestic and international travel

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak French would be a bonus

Responsibilities

• Laundry - washing and ironing
• Preparing meals - breakfast, dinner, snacks
• Drive to after school activities
• Assist with homework
• Babysitting once or twice per week
• Encourage manners and ensure boundaries are implemented
• Ensure the kitchen is clean after use
• Empty the dishwasher
• Keep on top of the laundry
• Run errands as and when required
• Organize vendors, and oversee any work relating to the household
• Grocery shopping
• light housekeeping in between visits

Benefits
