Full-time • Mid Level
Scottsdale, AZ

We are a close-knit, joyful family of five with three young children (ages 7, almost 5, and nearly 3), a friendly 1.5-year-old Labrador, and a lively, activity-filled household. Our home sits on a golf course and is full of movement, projects, and a touch of joyful chaos. One parent works from home in a high-level, tech-focused role and frequently travels on short notice, while the other is a stay-at-home parent with a background in early childhood care. We’re looking for a skilled, self-driven house manager/family assistant to bring structure, support, and calm consistency to our days. This person will play a key role in keeping our household running smoothly and supporting both parents and kids in the rhythm of daily life. While this is not a nanny role, we value someone who genuinely enjoys children and can step in for light childcare support when needed - such as backup supervision, transitions, or family travel prep. Above all, we want someone who feels like part of the extended family: someone who helps us build a home that feels good, flows well, and allows us to create more space for connection and quality time.

  • Create and maintain household systems (closets, pantry, kids’ spaces, storage)
  • Oversee donations, reduce paper clutter, and help automate bills when possible
  • Prep the home for biweekly housekeeping (Mon & Fri mornings)
  • Manage specialty laundry care and occasional dry cleaning
  • Assist with guest casita prep and upkeep
  • Track projects and follow through on improvements
  • Plan and prep simple, healthy family dinners (5 days/week)
  • Respect dietary restrictions (two lactose-intolerant family members)
  • Balance meal prep time with efficiency - nutritious meals without being tied up for hours
  • Organize meal delivery or grocery services as needed
  • Reset and clean the kitchen after prep
  • Grocery shopping, returns, gift shopping, pharmacy runs
  • Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, and supplies (Amazon, Costco, etc.)
  • Research and order home, pet, or furniture items
  • Manage home deliveries and organized mail
  • Wash, fold, iron/steam, and organize clothing and linens
  • Manage seasonal wardrobe and bedding swaps
  • Walks and daily exercise
  • Reinforce training/commands
  • Supervise swimming/pool time
  • Schedule vet, daycare, and grooming appointments
  • Occasional backup childcare or supervision
  • Pack/unpack kids for school, activities, or camp
  • Keep school paperwork, calendars, and registrations up to date
  • Assist with finding and coordinating therapists/specialists as needed
  • Fuel, clean, and organize vehicles
  • Schedule maintenance (oil changes, inspections, etc.)
  • Liaise with contractors, builders, and vendors (renovations, repairs, etc.)
  • Research and plan travel logistics and accommodations
  • Pack/unpack family and children
  • Provide overnight support during trips if needed
  • Suggest creative family experiences (e.g., glamping with the kids)
  • Maintain a smoke-free environment
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record
  • Able to pass background check
  • Up-to-date on vaccinations (COVID, flu, etc.)
  • Likes being around children
  • Comfortable with dogs and attuned to family life
  • Discretion and commitment to privacy required
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital tools (Notion, Google Calendar, Google Chat, Android apps). This is a must!
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new systems
  • Discreet, professional, and respectful of boundaries
  • Warm and attuned to children (especially verbal, emotionally sensitive kids)
  • Experienced in managing households and supporting busy families
  • Efficient and organized, able to complete tasks in a timely, practical way
  • Hospitality-minded, making spaces feel welcoming and well-ordered
  • Comfortable managing a backlog of tasks, prioritizing daily needs while keeping longer-term projects on track
  • Tech-literate (Notion, Google Workspace, Android programs) and open to learning new systems
  • Fragrance-free (due to household sensitivities)
  • Comfortable with dogs — walking, training reinforcement, and even supervising pool swims
  • Respectful of religious and cultural values
  • College-educated, articulate, and mature
  • Adaptable and cheerful, with a consistently positive attitude
  • Experience as a project manager, executive assistant, or in a tech-adjacent field is highly valued.
