A nationally recognized comprehensive Health and Human Services Agency, Samaritan Daytop Village, serves over 33,000 New Yorkers annually. The House Counselor monitors the therapeutic environment and specific program systems to ensure the security, safety, and efficiency of daily client services and activities. This includes monitoring and supporting all client scheduled treatment services, ensuring external appointments are scheduled, carfare is available, and clients return safely and on time with feedback. The House Counselor also ensures efficient program activities' coordination by working closely with the Assistant Directors of Operations and Clinical and, where applicable, the Assistant Program Director. This role supports the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village.
