The House Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring compliance with regulations and Chesterwye’s standards. This role involves maintaining the highest level of professionalism, acting as a role model for staff, and maintaining a positive approach at all times. The coordinator is responsible for overseeing the staffing schedule to ensure appropriate coverage on all shifts and providing supervision and training to people with intellectual disabilities to promote their growth. Key duties include conducting weekly checks of service and medication books, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of various reports (incident, seizure, activity calendars, weight charts, fire drills, outgoing mail, supply requests, inventories), and participating in the PCP planning process. The role also involves ensuring quality leisure activities, maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the residential home and assigned vehicles, and taking necessary action in emergency situations. The House Coordinator handles household shopping, monitors medication supplies, administration, reordering, and documentation, and ensures the completion of fire drills and water temperature checks. They are responsible for reporting vehicle problems, reconciling individual funds, submitting receipts, initiating facility reports in Carematic, and maintaining flow charts, behavioral data, vehicle logs, and gas receipts. The position requires attending and conducting monthly house meetings, using technology for job duties, and attending work regularly, including flexibility for additional weekday and weekend shifts, and working one rotating weekend shift. Professional development through in-service training and staff meetings is also expected, along with timely response to internal communications and cooperative work with all staff and professionals.
